Flipping a mattress is important for two reasons: to enjoy the different benefits of winter/summer padding, when present, and to extend the durability of the mattress itself.
During the first months of use it is fundamental to periodically rotate the mattress, from head to foot, and to flip it over (except for single-sided models) at least once every fifteen days. This ensures a homogenous settling of its different parts, such as paddings and foams. To ensure it lasts as long as possible, rotation needs to be repeated systematically even after this initial period.
To avoid damaging the internal structure of your mattress, if it features a removable cover, always carry out these movements with the cover on the mattress.
